On 24 February 2026, the BVI Fund Operations Conference brought together around 660 participants for a full day of exchange in Frankfurt am Main.
The day opened with speech by Natasha Cazenave (Executive Director, ESMA). After this the programme continued with parallel sessions across three tracks: Artificial Intelligence, Digital Assets and Market Infrastructure, and Data and Cyber Security.
From a FundsXML perspective, a real highlight was the presentation by Karl Kauc (Erste Asset Management) and Dragan Mircov (SIX). They delivered a strong, practical overview of European fund data standards including FundsXML, openfunds, FinDatEx and ISO 20022.
